The former Liverpool manager admits coming back to manage Liverpool is plausible in theory.

Jurgen Klopp, who left Anfield in 2024, indicated that rejoining the club is a possibility. The 58-year-old, following a hugely successful nine-season tenure which brought continental glory and the Reds’ first league title since 1990, has since taken on positions as head of global soccer within the Red Bull organization and in an advisory capacity for the DFL.

Supporters’ Hopes and Klopp’s Candid Remarks

They secured the Premier League in the previous campaign, though countless followers holding him in high esteem would embrace the possibility that he may eventually return. In a wide-ranging interview, he told his interviewer: “I said I won't manage a different club on English soil. So that means if then it’s Liverpool...yeah. It's plausible.”

“At 58 years old, so I might decide down the line, who knows. Is a decision required immediately? If so, I wouldn't return. Luckily, no such pressure exists. I'll simply watch what lies ahead.”

What Would Lure Him Back?

When asked about which situations would have to unfold to bring him back to management, he revealed he feels no immediate pull for a comeback. “I don’t even know exactly, I love what I do right now,” he commented. “I don’t miss coaching; I avoid standing under bad weather through long matches; I'm glad to skip media briefings repeatedly each week or constant media duties weekly.

“No nostalgia for the changing area per se, however, dining out with the team having a nice chat, that’s nice. With many victories meaning regularly positive atmosphere in the building. I can still hear the captain's chuckle in my ear as an instance.”

Commending Arne Slot

Klopp was full of praise of the current boss, crediting him for the adjustments that took the title last term. The team has suffered four in a row in every contest after a summer spending spree, though he denied the suggestion it could be a slump.

“[Liverpool have] a phenomenal forward in Flo[rian] Wirtz, doubters will be silenced if you use the wrong words. A remarkable prospect. Ekitike, excellent performer. They have a strong well-judged squad. No need for concern regarding the Reds, they will be fine.”

Emotional Tribute for Diogo Jota

The manager expressed deep feeling regarding the passing of the Portuguese star, a player he signed during his tenure, and its impact at the club. Jota was killed in a vehicle collision with his brother this past summer.

“Can you substitute somebody like Diogo? This isn't just regarding his footballing ability, it’s the guy he was. I can’t imagine the dressing room absent his presence. Putting it into words is tough on this topic. A devastating blow for the entire squad also. Not a single person might employ it to justify results but it is the situation. You walk in a dressing room where his spirit remains. Handling this individually is not easy. Unbearable.”
