Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match winning run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the international break, however will the English top division leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, fans and a variety of guests.

For week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

Murs' latest album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Life

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a successful singer and has been a star of several charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer team," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our team for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their attack is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, however. Burnley are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

It suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their previous couple matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' only on the road victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can West Ham continuing their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have impressed a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their last four matches.

My son advised me to select Bees forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I feel the home manager's side pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six games.

Fulham have have lots of talent in their team but it still feels like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed any other team disrupt the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The logical choice would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the end of October.

But I am not going to do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on going against the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's side will be extremely eager for a good result, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's choice: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a bad streak... but they have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough one to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
